About This Project

Fabex was awarded the contract to provide Dow with an ASME-certified, liquid extraction column for the Aniline removal in coarse water.

Our scope of work included the mechanical design, fabrication, painting, and delivery of a 66-foot, multi-diameter tray tower.  This work included the installation of the 20 extraction trays, along with the fabrication and installation of the two related sparger pipes.  It was painted by Fabex with a (3) coat Carboline industrial paint system at our facility.  We provided the (6) platforms with (4) ladders that were hot dipped galvanized and trial fit onto the tower to ensure a clean bolt-up once installed at the site. 

Fabex also provided a baseplate template early in the project which matched the height of the column’s anchor bolt chairs to aid in foundation construction and tower alignment.
